七草 蓮華

The current head of the Saegusa family. A warrior in the flesh and a maestro in talks, she's adept both on and off the battlefield. The Saegusa form an armed force responsible for maintaining the village's safety and are entirely comprised of women. Each family member is skilled in combat, including proficiency with firearms. 七 (Shichi or Nana): This kanji means "seven," often associated with luck or mysticism in various cultures. 草 (Kusa): This kanji means "grass" or "weeds," but can also refer to plants or herbs in general. Overall (Saegusa): 七草 can refer to the "seven herbs," a term especially relevant in the context of Nanakusa-no-sekku (the Festival of Seven Herbs), a Japanese festival on January 7th celebrating health and longevity, where seven specific herbs are eaten to ensure good health throughout the year.
