Jabber Wock was once the premiere chef of the Kingdom of Humpty, often preparing dishes for Queen Queenbelle herself. His prestige placed him in charge of Humpty's most important crop, the sugarcubes, in the Ruin of Eve more commonly known as the Sugarcube Factory. Unfortunately for the people of Humpty and the world, Jabber was also a member of the Snake Crest. Living in poverty to the point of eating his dead mother for survival, Jabber took to practicing cannibalism, a practice Kathryn Lapucelle believes may have manifested and engorged in an effort to mask Jabber's guilt over eating his mother. Now convinced that human meat was the height of cuisine, Jabber began his efforts to convince the rest of the world of the same. The Snake Crest helped him towards this goal in return for monster-training facilities that were designed to reduce monsters to their base desires (often including cannibalism) so that they could be used as ingredients for the Snake Crest's production of Adan's Blood. Jabber was finally cornered at a cooking contest judged by Queenbelle herself. When Aster and his family managed to save Queenbelle from her Adan's Blood addiction, Jabber transformed into a monster, the Jabberwock, to defend himself, but was ultimately killed. His body was then spirited away by Seydes to be drained of its profound gluttony. Jabber's spirit later appeared in the Archfiend's Right Arm as the Gluttonous Shadow, where it was defeated by Aster and Kathryn.
